TMC – TERMINAL MARÍTIMA DE CARTAGENA officially opens its new solid bulk storage facilities at the Port of Cartagena
The new storage warehouse has a capacity of 24,000 square meters, divided into 8 independent boxes of 3,000 m² each. With an investment of 15 million euros, it can accommodate up to 160,000 tons.
The warehouse will primarily handle bulk goods for human and animal consumption and addresses the growing storage needs for this type of cargo, which has seen significant growth in recent years at the Port of Cartagena.
The inauguration was attended by the President of the Port Authority of Cartagena, Yolanda Muñoz; the Mayor of Cartagena, Noelia Arroyo; and the Regional Minister of Development, José Ramón Díez de Revenga. Also present were representatives from the port community, Cartagena’s civil society, and the companies that make up TMC’s shareholders: Erhardt, Nogar, and Noatum.
With these new facilities, the Port of Cartagena strengthens its position as one of Spain’s leading ports for solid bulk cargo.
