TMGA, the stevedoring company of Erhardt Logistics in Galicia, has launched its new L7 warehouse – Langosteira 7, marking a new milestone in the consolidation of our agro-food terminal at the Outer Port of A Coruña. This seventh warehouse is part of a long-term project that began a decade ago when, in 2015, TMGA became the first stevedore to operate in the newly developed Punta Langosteira port.

A vision of the future that has become reality.

From the beginning, our goal was clear: to develop the leading agro-food terminal. Today, that vision has come to life with an infrastructure that, with L7, now boasts 36,000 m² of covered space, fully equipped for grain storage and handling, and recognized as a benchmark in efficiency, sustainability, and innovation.

In addition to silos, the terminal is equipped with a closed-loop horizontal transport system that moves grain directly from the quay edge to the warehouses, eliminating the need for trucks or additional machinery. This contributes significantly to reducing the terminal’s environmental impact. We also use eco-friendly hoppers specifically designed to minimize airborne dust emissions, improving air quality across the port area.

Automation for greater efficiency.

The terminal operates using a closed-loop agro-food conveyor belt system capable of handling discharge flows of up to 1,500 tons per hour—high-performance capabilities that allow us to respond quickly and effectively to bulk cargo demands.

The filling process of two of these warehouses is fully automated, thanks to the use of two sensor-equipped trippers that ensure efficient grain distribution without the need for trucks or loaders. The warehouses are equipped with ATEX-certified technology, CCTV surveillance systems, fire protection, and other features that guarantee a safe and controlled environment at all times.

In-house engineering for a leading terminal.

This project has been developed entirely using in-house engineering, in close collaboration with the client. This integration between technical and operational teams has enabled us to meet very specific needs and has positioned our terminal as a benchmark across Europe.

Evidence of this is seen in the increasing number of international stevedores who visit our facilities to study first-hand how we execute projects of this scale—using our solutions as a model for implementing logistical engineering in the agro-food sector.

Environmental efficiency at the core of the project.

Sustainability has been one of the project’s guiding principles. By reducing truck traffic by more than 35,000 trips annually and cutting over 2,500 operating hours through automation, we’ve achieved significant improvements in both environmental and operational efficiency.

These advances translate into lower emissions, reduced energy consumption, and a quieter, cleaner operation—fully aligned with the strictest environmental regulations and with our clients’ growing commitment to sustainability.

From ambitious challenge to solid reality.

What once seemed like an ambitious challenge is now a tangible reality. The newly inaugurated L7 warehouse is yet another building block in a long-term project that reflects the effort, dedication, and shared vision of everyone who helped make it possible.
