Once again, ERHARDT actively supports BIND 4.0, the public–private open innovation platform for smart industry promoted by the Basque Government together with leading companies in their respective sectors in the Basque Country.
ERHARDT is one of the 80 benchmark companies in the Basque Country that are part of the BIND 4.0 ecosystem, whose aim is to accelerate the development of startups within the Basque industrial ecosystem, promote companies’ digital transformation, and position the Basque Country as a hub for advanced industrial entrepreneurship.
Since its launch in 2016, BIND 4.0 has already supported more than 160 startups and developed 240 projects, with ERHARDT participating through SERIKAT in the development of new initiatives, particularly in the health sector.
This year, more than 700 applications from 70 different countries have been received, with a focus on three key areas: generating cleaner and more sustainable energy, food, and health.
The startups selected for the acceleration program will be announced in January 2023.
Regarding emerging technologies, 50% of this year’s applicants are focused on Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, or Big Data, followed by other disruptive technologies such as virtual and augmented reality, additive manufacturing, collaborative robotics, computer vision, and cybersecurity.
SERIKAT will be responsible for selecting and mentoring one of the projects, working with one of the selected startups to further develop the new business areas currently underway: Data, Integrated Platforms, Management Processes, and Business and Technology Consulting.
