ERHARDT, active in the Maritime & Logistics Services, Steel & Trading, Information Technologies, and Insurance & Risk Management markets, held its Annual Convention on June 9–10.
Eugenio Erhardt, President of the company, opened the 2022 Convention, a year marking 140 years of ERHARDT’s history (1882–2022). He reviewed the highlights of the past year, noting growth exceeding initial expectations.
“The pandemic accelerated digital transformation, which led to increased demand for digital product development, risk management, and raw material procurement. In an era of unpredictable and stressed global supply chains, logistics has become a key strategic factor for companies,” said the President. “ERHARDT operates in a diversified market, in high-growth sectors, with clients who are more digital, more global, and more environmentally conscious. These new variables are now fully integrated into our service offering.”
During the Convention, each business unit showcased its new initiatives, future projects, and investments launched during the first half of 2022 across the Group’s four divisions. Additionally, the Corporate Services team highlighted transversal projects focused on digitalization, work-life balance, and equal opportunities.
The Friday session concluded with an intergenerational panel discussion featuring some of ERHARDT’s “living legends” from the past fifty years alongside the Group’s newest talents.
Under the title “GEN+NEXT,” the discussion was moderated by Board Member Eugenio Erhardt Barrenechea. The “GEN” generation included Gerardo Tiedemann, Ralf Endress, and Pablo Engelmann, each with over 40 years of extraordinary professional experience at ERHARDT in Maritime & Logistics Services and Steel & Trading. The “NEXT” generation, representing recently joined talent, included Ana García from Serikat, Manuel López from Ertransit, and Manuel Fernández from MatErh.
It was an intense and inspiring convention in which, in the words of the President, “the Group’s dynamism and the teams’ commitment have been fully evident. Our people have excelled in a complex and uncertain environment, enabling significant investments in talent development, Group transformation, the renewal of our traditional business offering, and the creation of new activities.”
